旋轉塗佈（Spin
Coating）時，旋轉載台的軸心提供適當真空度吸著上方基材，旋轉載台帶動基材旋轉後，灑在基材上有機塗膜劑因離心力往基材外圍移動，形成厚度均勻塗層。塗層之厚度與有機塗膜劑本身粘度和旋轉速度(w)、時間有關，一般與轉速平方根成反比，。轉數若太快，旋轉載台的轉動馬達過熱，基材旋轉的中心點位置將不準，導致基材膜層破損
