Independent studies have showed that Dycem “polymeric” flooring removes 99.8% of all foot borne contamination including bacteria and yeasts/moulds from operators’ footwear and trolley wheels.


Easy to clean and maintain :
The flooring can be cleaned within your existing schedules. All that is needed to maintain its effectiveness is a daily clean with most proprietary biocides and disinfectants. Klercide alcohols and biocides and Klerclean neutral detergent are all suitable. Simply damp mop and wipe dry using a system like the Klercide Mopping System, or alternatively use the Dycem Wet & Dry Vacuum Cleaner.


Cost effective :
The flooring is guaranteed for two years and the daily cost of Dycem flooring is up to seven times less than using peel off mats.


Range for All Needs :
The flooring is available in different formats, both permanently installed and loose laid mats to suit any size of facility. The range accommodates all levels of traffic, including heavy pallet trolleys.


Environmentally friendly :
Dycem flooring can be recycled by shredding and re-melting into products with a similar polymeric base. It is not environmentally hazardous and can be disposed of by the normal methods of disposal for industrial and household waste.


Description

Dycem’s polymeric compound and processing technology produces a material with an optically smooth surface. This exceptional smooth surface creates a high degree of surface energy that attracts particulate contamination and prevents it from entering the clean area. The Dycem surface is more attractive to particles than the sole of footwear, so particles are transferred to the matting where they remain until cleaning. The surface is very soft so that even small particles make contact and are captured.

The range includes Clean-Zone, Work-Zone and 3 Step Mats. Clean-Zone and 3 Step Mats are available in Blue and Grey and Work-Zone is supplied in grey. Clean Zone can be laid to any length or width, giving the option of full room coverage. Permanently installed, it is the most effective way of controlling all forms of foot and wheel borne contamination. Work Zone is designed for areas subject to heavier traffic for example, pallet trucks, it provides an unavoidable barrier to the movement of contamination, reducing particulate levels in manufacturing and holding areas. The 3-Step Mats are available loose laid and are designed in convenient lengths for the effective collection and retention of contamination.

The flooring is designed to be effective for at least two years; it can be cleaned with water and a suitable detergent or biocide. Shield Medicare’s Klercide range of sterile alcohols, biocides and Klerclean neutral detergent are all suitable for use on Dycem flooring. The Dycem wet and dry vacuum cleaner has been developed specifically for cleaning the Dycem Flooring. The flooring is wet mopped and the vacuum quickly removes excess liquid to promote drying.
